RECOMMENDATIONS:

Here are some general recommendations to make the routes comfortable and pleasant:

  • Wear comfortable and athletic footwear. Good socks and bring spare pairs.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Trekking poles are recommended, which will help on the long sections, particularly the ascents and descents.
  • Camera. The magical environment will make you fall in love with the views.
  • Canteen or Camelbak. You must be hydrated
  • Wear clothes suitable for the season, in winter wear warm clothes as temperatures can get very low, especially in the Prades Mountains. A light jacket is recommended in spring and autumn. In summer, the heat is predominant throughout the day, but you will come across ponds and streams during the itinerary, a light swimsuit will do you just fine!
  • In addition, you must bring a sleeping bag or sheets, a towel and a kit with everything you need to spend a few days outside.
  • A little first aid kit doesn’t go amiss either. Nothing should happen, but you might get some blisters!
  • If you have one…GPS! We will upload the track of the route. A compass is also invaluable.
  • Sunscreen (factor 30 – 50).
  • Good company. It is always preferable to walk in company.
  • And above all… desire and enthusiasm to have a good time and enjoy a privileged area.

It is important that you note:

  • Plan your route well and try to have up-to-date maps.
  • Be aware in advance of the weather conditions you will have, as they may prevent some essential part of the route, since in case of rain you must be careful not to slip on the stones and in case of fog do not access the Serra major of the Montsant
  • If any accident occurs, you must remain calm and call the emergency number: 112, detailing what happened. Emergency services will be launched soon.
